Clearly it isnt. Myself and Arn (bizarrely) have been banging on about Aguero for ages.
Not to jump on the bandwagon or anything, but Jesus Craig, seriously though. You also banged on about Mourinho virtually non stop for seasons on end, and several other things I won't bring up as you'll just argue with me about it (but everyone else who reads these forums knows the topics).
Anyone would think that none of our rivals in this league ever signed a world class player. Drogba, Henry, Ronaldo etc etc et.... Aguero is damn good, no doubt about it, but there are many big teams around with big budgets and its a fact of life (and mathematics) that most players will sign for clubs other than ours, however much a few random fans on a message board might bang on about them. That's not defeatist, its realistic.
Yes, it would have been great if we could have signed Aguero. I'm sure most clubs in Europe would have like to, and most of their fans would have liked them to (he wasn't exactly unheard of or unrated by anyone other than you and Arn you know). But for all sorts of reasons we didn't, now can we please just get over it and get on with supporting the players we actually have got?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

The cost of 'Moneybags'City starting XI v Swansea was an obscene £150m.The cost of 'Youthful,Homegrown' Utd starting XI vWBA a prudent £156m
Moneybags City also had a bench to the value of around £120 million!!!
