That’s surely what everyone wants, ideally. If you’ve got the money, it seems like a reasonable goal.

There are a range of good managers out there and they have a decent squad (admittedly it needs work) but they also have alot of money to spend, I do worry that someone decent could be a big success for them. The managers that they have had since Ferguson have all been really poor, Moyes, Solskjaer even the **** versions of Mourinho and van Gaal who had been decent managers in the past. People seem quick to write off Pochettino, but he consistently got Spurs into the CL and got them to the final, his record winning trophies isn't great but he undoubtedly got the best out of that Spurs side and got them to over perform. His time at PSG is relatively short and he should have won the league but he's a good manager. Ten Hagg is a difficult one to judge because of the quality of the Dutch league, but Ajax have a strong academy if he can get the best out of young players again he could improve Man Utd significantly.
Someone like Bruce would be best for us but I don't think that's realistic at all, at least not as a long term option, at best they could get him in until the end of the season. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I just heard Mark Hughes on the radio putting his name down as someone who would be interested in the job until the end of the season

He said they should move for Pochettino now, but if they can't get him now Hughes would like the job until the end of the season.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI thought I heard him say that they should move for Poch as an interim manager isn’t an ideal approach.
This the mail headline explaining it:
Mark Hughes urges his former club Manchester United to appoint Mauricio Pochettino NOW... but also throws his hat into the ring to become interim manager if they can't land the PSG bossThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
