Talking to Valverde about the interim position apparently..........remember his stupid face when we staged the mother of all comebacks to win 4-0 v his Barca.
They are ****ed if the interim fella does a good job...... although i actually suspect that there is no plan. So if whoever gets the short term gig does well, then surely he will get it??

It could be Ole all over again.
if the interim does well then he'll be given the full time gig.

It is a fundamentally flawed strategy for them long term. They'd be better off letting Carrick take over until the end of the season.
OGS doing 'alright' and beating (was it) PSG in the CL a few seasons ago has cost them about 3 years of progress.

Great, wasn't it?
I agree an external interim seems like a mental proposition. They obviously think the season can be salvaged in some respects hence not wanting to limp along with the likes of Carrick
Surely they have to be doing a deal with someone behind the scenes to come in in the summer, be it Pochettino, ten Hag, Rodgers or whoever even if they can't announce it until the season is over. Ole has been on his way out at least since we battered them, they'd have been mad to not have been looking at options. I don't think sticking with Carrick is really sensible, as do that they might as well have kept Ole. Surely they then have to bring someone temporary in on the understanding that there is no possibility of an extension regardless of what happens as there is someone else waiting in the wings. Obviously no one is going to give up a job to manage them for six months so they are looking at someone who is currently out of a job, Valverde, Bruce, Hughes etc.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
