I wish Rodgers never said that Carroll would not be part of his plans, that knocked 5m off the price straight away. To be fair, we are not exactly playing tikki takka (or WTF ya call it) football, so I still think Andy could do a job for us, however I feel he could do more if the manager had kept his cards closer to his chest.

I don't really care who we sell to. Take the embarrassment of selling to Newcastle. We should just get rid of him and get somebody more suited to our plans. Still think he is going to be a great player for somebody, just not us.

But if he hadn't mentioned that he wasn't part of his plans then no one would have shown an interest in him.

It's a difficult one because clubs have tried taking the piss with the situation trying to get him on loan or on the cheap, they can get ****ed.

I don't think that matters mate if Brendan's told him he isn't keen. Players talk to their agents who in turn talk to clubs off the record . What we get fed is insignificant.

I disagree with the footballer part as he played really well at the end of last season. I think it's right to say that that he doesn't suit us, not that he's not good enough.

No he didn't, he just didn't look as terrible as he had done through the season. Our standards shouldn't have dropped so low that we think that play was good enough.

I agree - he definitely improved and appeared to be making a bit more effort, but he wasn't great. I don't think he uses his attributes well.

Every little thing he did right towards the end of last season was magnified to Zidane like proprtions by some LFC supporters. The season doesn't start in April. He is average
