Well if we are going by speculation...what is shabby about being upfront and honest with Carroll and telling him that he won't fit into our new style of play? I think this is probably better rather than leading him on for months while he rots on the bench wondering when he is going to get a chance. Best for Carroll to know where he stands now.Originally posted by mick the click View PostWhatever happens to AC, I find the handling of the whole situation to be appalling. We don't know what's going on so we're all reacting to speculation, but I can't believe that LFC is treating a player in such a shabby way.
Or, should I say, appearing to treat him in such a shabby way.

Quite surprised at the stick BR is getting from fans of other clubs on radio tbh, considering all the stick lfc and AC got last season over the signing.
Most agree price was stupid, but that AC is a good player and an assett to any side, didn't say that last season did they!Last edited by Vermilion; 17-07-12, 10:54 AM.

Absolutely. By being upfront and honest with Carroll, Rodgers has given him the best possible chance of securing his preferred move.Originally posted by acdmackay View PostWell if we are going by speculation...what is shabby about being upfront and honest with Carroll and telling him that he won't fit into our new style of play? Edited my post to give an idea, but things like AC is a good player, BR is arrogant for getting rid without even trying to coach, most agree price was daft, but that AC would be an assett to any team, and BR is making a big mistake, blah blah.Originally posted by Phoenix06 View PostWhat are they saying?
Oh, Some think BR is out of his depth, and this is a sign of that, jumping into making big decisions, haha many already seem to be fed up of hearing about 'BR's Style' and how he's the next big thing.

In fairness to Bent his leg almost fell off in the later part of last season. I suspect if he hadn't been injured he'd have been part of the squad.Originally posted by Nick77 View PostI think 20 million is more than reasonable considering he was part of Euro 2012 & the likes of Darren Bent who went to Villa for 24 million wasn't...

Andy Carroll a player to drag your team up the league away from relegation and consolidate a Premier League position, he isn't a player to spearhead a challenge for the top 4.
So - who is looking to drag themselves up the league a bit and would have the money to pay out £20m for him?
It's an ambitious one for West Ham, didn't think they were minted - and despite the "West Ham way" of playing, they still worshipped Hartson and Dean Ashton . Same goes for Fulham - haven't seen them spending out for a long time.

Yeah I think Berbatov would like the scum to give him the same courtesy instead of leading him on & pricing him out of a move.Originally posted by acdmackay View PostWell if we are going by speculation...what is shabby about being upfront and honest with Carroll and telling him that he won't fit into our new style of play?
