I think Andy isn't treated well in this case. Sell him then. It's obvious he's not in BR plans, unfortunately.

Alan Pardew claims the success of Newcastle's efforts to bring Andy Carroll back to St James' Park rests with the club's board and owner Mike Ashley.
The Magpies are keen to offer Carroll a route back to Tyneside, 18 months after offloading him to Liverpool in a record-breaking £35million deal.
The Reds have hinted that they would be willing to send the England international out on loan, and Newcastle have already made one approach.
They saw a loan bid with an option to buy knocked back, but have refused to accept defeat.
Pardew would welcome the opportunity to add Carroll to his attacking ranks for 2012/13, but concedes that he will have little input in further transfer negotiations.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "That whole process is a little bit more involved with the chairman and the board at Liverpool.
"We have got a great team here, a great squad, and if Andy Carroll comes, it will only add to us.
"It's simple, really. Sometimes transfers are done at corporate level. I'm slightly detached from that. It will be what it will be.
"It's been said that he's available and if we are involved, then we will be involved because of the figures, not anything else, because we know he's good enough."

This for me highlights the difference in mentality between the 2 players Borini who's team got further than England
New signing Fabio Borini has chosen not to take the full four weeks rest offered to him by Liverpool and will travel to Boston to join his new teammates next week, manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed.
Rodgers was speaking at the club’s first press conference since their arrival in Boston on Monday evening local time.
Borini was Rodgers first signing when he joined from Roma last week.
If Carroll really wanted to make an impression on Rogers he could of come back early to show his commitment , 2 players have cut their holidays short Borini and Suso , why not Carroll ?"All I'll ever do is all I've ever done in any job, and that's promise to fight for my life for the supporters and the people of the city"

Might have the arse about not being wanted by Rogers at LFC?Originally posted by souliv View PostThis for me highlights the difference in mentality between the 2 players Borini who's team got further than England

I'm starting to worry about our owners intentions right now.
It seems like they've never really spent a lot of their own money on the club, although they told us the model would be for Lfc club to become self sufficient one day... Thats great and all that, but we are falling behind every transfer window, as we see the likes of the chavs and Spurs spending big. FSG seem to be sticking with this FFP rule, while the others seem to be ignoring it and spending big. And we've seen the power Roman holds over the authorities in the footballing world, so they'll get off scot-free with another envelope under the table.
This latest rubbish of BR having to sell Carroll so he can buy new players is a joke, it may be an excuse for them to sell Carroll, but they need to think long and hard about this really. Chucking £35m on him at the time was madness when they could have got a world class striker from abroad prob. Now only 18 months later they want to sell him for a paltry £17m, but it gets better... To one of our competitors, and we seem ready to do the deal!
People can say oh but they have hired and fired x amount of managers, backroom staff etc. over that time, but whose fault is that? They decided to get rid of KK, so how can that be a viable excuse to impact on our transfer deals? If they couldn't afford it, then they should have stuck with KK afterall. I'm sick and tired of seeing Ayre telling us how wonderful the owners are & everything else at Lfc like some puppy dog missing his FSG collar.
Wake up fellow supporters this has novice deal written all over it, and I'm wondering if FSG are willing to spend any cash... Where is the cash anyway?
Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

I have my serious doubts about FSG, based primarily on the stadium issue."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Fair point, but cast your mind back 4 or 5 years ago, and take a look at the inflated prices Spurs were paying in the market for players then, all in order to force their way into the top four... Fast forward to today and they've overtaken us.Originally posted by Chris View PostThey've already loaned the club £30m interest free in the past. Spurs havent spent big and most reports say their budget is the same as ours.
And £30m is peanuts in today's football financial world, wouldn't you agree?

They have spent plenty on the club in the short time they have been here, they prevented our new collapse.
Regarding Carroll, they trusted in their management who let them down, blame Kenny and Comolli for Carroll, not FSG and it really may just be a case that Rodgers doesn't rate him at all.
They have already bought us a player this summer without any covering sales.

Still too early to judge FSG, let's see where we are in a few years time.
Regardless of the ownership, we need to be aware of the FFP rules. I know some people will say "look at Chelsea and City." Well, **** Chelsea and City. First of all they've generated a lot more income than us over the last couple of seasons I would guess, and secondly if they want to run the risk of getting punished then that's down to them.
As long as FSG give us a decent backing and let us spend what we generate then that's fine by me.
