Or maybe we've finally got the hang of this negotiating lark.

Alan Pardew was quoted in the local Geordie paper saying the chat is going on between Mike Ashley and the LFC board; they want a loan, we want cash, now we come out and say he's one of us. It's pure positioning and as Cormack74 says - we've tried to give ourselves a decent hand to play.

That ain't no U turn. Its basically we won't loan but will sell.
If that article was about Suarez, I'd think we were actively inviting offers. The bit about we will look at what's on offer etc If I wanted to keep a player I'd say no chance etc and if we had learnt the ways of dealings transfer we would have done a Rafa or Kenny in a PC situation tell them f'all.

Well he did say, to a room full of journo's, that if an offer of a loan for AC came in it's something he'd have to look at, now he's saying we're not looking to loan a 35milion pound player like it's daft to even think about it.

Anyway, hopefully no one will pick up on it.

We want £20m for Carroll otherwise he's staying. Makes sense....eventually.

Unless we need to sell to buy ...

Could be true but I'm hoping the owners should have set aside £30m for the summer so at this moment in time we should have another £19m. The Carroll sale would have funded another striker.

                      Tru fax.

I have no idea and am wildly speculating. You can guess we are working to a tighter budget and we are keen to address the wage bill ... much like we did last summer - but that begs the question: why did we offer our newbies such crazy deals?

I think money is tight and we are - quite rightly - being stringent.

Mate, honestly everytime I think about Commolli he makes my blood boil. That **** he was spouting about Downing being a amazing footballer when we signed him. The wages I bet we came in high straight away just to match the transfer fees.

                          Yes, and your point is?
                          Oh I don't know.
