The next step in fakegate.

Fake forum posters, fake bidders, fake agents and now fake footballers.

I'm telling you, it won't be long until we have to deal with fake gates. Where will it end?

I sort of feel sorry for Hodgson here, I've no idea as to why he's telling jokes at half time to be honest and his choice of joke to get his point across was poorly chosen but there was no agenda, malice or intent to cause offence just another in line of daft comments he's made over his career.

The FA on the other hand show themselves to be the inconsistent self serving group that they always seem to come across as, they seem to want to look into things when it suits them, when it doesn't we move on. I'm not saying moving on is the wrong thing to do here however it does seem they do so when they're directly or indirectly involved

I think the problem comes when the incident involves the England team itself. They obviously want to protect their own, as a club side would. But the club sides dont dish out punishments to players and managers. The FA does.

It needs the National team to be run as a separate body. Because they had similar egg on their faces when it came to them appealing Rooneys ban. It shows them to be inconsistent and a little self serving.

Maybe the FA spin on events is BS (after all, the 'joke' explanation doesn't really stand up to any kind of scurutiny) and Hodgson said something genuinely offensive and the numerous black players in the team were offended? Maybe.

They had Gordon Smart (?) on TalkSport last night. They gave him a bit of a grilling but he wouldn't give too much away.

I don't believe Hodgson is racist or what he's supposedly said (what's been printed in the press) is racist, but it seems a bit weird that this has come out via one of the players.

Weird thing to say and weird thing to go to the press about.

Think I saw a few rumours last night on Twitter that he may have said something else which was offensive and this is the scaled-down version of events.

It's no big deal, i was just surprised you didn't hear it in his accent, posh scottish you know, bit like posh scouse if you know what i mean (that's not the missing spice girl either!) less accent/stress on certain words in their verbals if that makes any sense at all.

Of course there are rumours. Racism sells, and if you want to drag out a story you create believable rumours and speculate about them.
