Who's to say he's moving there for monetary reasons, maybe he thinks it's a better move for him career wise????

As someone has said earlier, if Spurs are prepared to pay him higher wages it`s probably because they want him more.
If Spurs sign him to replace Modric, he`ll get his fair share if chances to impress. If LFC signs him to improve the overall squad he`ll maybe not get that many chances.

I dont think so. In fact I woukd have said 35k is plenty for a lad that has potential but isnt anywhere near the finished article yet. If spurs want to spend that sort of money then let them but if its true then the people within their camp will already be knocking on levys door asking for more money

The thing is its all speculation

If we have offerred £55K per week and lose out to Spurs I'll be disappointed but not unhappy

IF we have only offerred what Swansea offerred and have been outbid by Reading and have had our offer doubled by Spurs then I must admit I am a tad worried

For the record I think Sigurdsson is one of Rodgers first choice targets and I worry that we have tried to get him on the cheap and once again been outmanouveured

If he signs he signs, as it stands we have said we are interested, he has a wonderful relationship with the boss, he had a amazing season in arguably one of the teams of the seaon, its natural that other teams will be taking a look at him and just because we are Liverpool that is no longer enough ... if we get him we get him, he looks like a decent signing .. Suggest we all chill our beans and stop filling in the gaps every ****ing summer

So let me get this straight. We spent years over paying players in order to try and compete, and in doing so are suffering now. None of us want to do that again. But now the first player we go for might be going elsewhere were all a bit upset.

We cant have it both ways, Id rather the club offer the money they think is acceptable, and let the player decide. There is no point in getting into a bidding war, otherwise we will have another Joe Cole or Aquilani situation on our hands.
