Perfect, *cough*Originally posted by Lecter View PostBrynjar Ingi Erlusonþ@brynjarerluson
Just listened to the interview with Gylfi's father. He did not talk about Rodgers, he just confirmed that Gylfi will play in England. (1/2)

Another one on Gylfi. He did speak about Rodgers at Swanse, an that Gylfi was happy with his managing, but nothing about #LFC #Misunderstood

@neiljonesecho If wondering about Gylfi's interview. Not much useful, they were afraid to ask questions about the situation #soft #radio

Jeez, this is all so depressingly familiar. If we can't sign a low priced young player who wants to play for us, then what hope is there? If Rodgers is indeed 'furious' with Ayre (I presume) then you could just switch the names Rodgers for Rafa and Ayre for Parry and we're still in the same lethargic, dawdling position that we have been for the last 10-15 years.

Don't understand why so many knickers are being twisted about him. If he's THAT good then Spurs will offer Gylfi £90k, why just stop at £70k? And if he's REALLY THAT GOOD then we'll offer him £100k.
Obviously we don't think he's that good. On top of all that Gylfi will have shown he values money over his relationship with B-Rod. Personally I think its all paper talk and he'll sign for us for a little bit more money (around 50k?).One tit for another.

Why do people begrudge players wanting money?
post. This is a business, why should the club get rich and players, who earn the club the revenue, not do well? I really think we need some kind of update from Mjölnir right now... although Gylfi's father said this morning on the radio that nothing will be announced until after the weekend (or July 1st which is Sunday). I´ve always had this gut feeling that he would not join LFC and everything points at THFC at the moment.

Its a dog fight atm, its not over. Despite whan Ben Smith and Echo are reporting on twitter. But like i said earlier, Spurs offer is significantly higher than LFC.

Bets are closed and most ITK´s saying its pritty much Spurs now. But nothing is signed, nothing is agreed. He just has a much better offer from Spurs. I do think Liverpool will up their offer and he will be ours. On a even playground, or just similar, he fancies us. The difference in contracts beeing offered is just rediculous.
I might be the only one but i do think he will be ours - but his camp are thinking things over. If nothing comes in from Liverpool (better contract or a Bravehearth speach from Rodgers) he will be playing in white next season, time is running out thou...Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. Its a real difficult scenario, you dont want to go bat**** crazy on contracts like we did with Cole & Aquilani but equally you dont want to lowball people with derisory offers as that does you no good either
