In reality it sounds simple:
We have an offer on the table and agreed in principle - but trying to get him on the cheap as 'we're Liverpool don't you know'. Spurs see this and come in with a better offer, higher wages, etc... and turn his head. Brendan now has to turn his head back again with the 'You can be a hero here, son' and here's a bit more dosh to show we're serious...Comment

He might just prefer the thought of living in London, they might have just offered an amazing deal, he might see this as the best way for playing for Man Utd in 2 years etc etc. I dont think not getting a player has to mean we ****ed it all up, there could be loads of reasons.Originally posted by Tribute View PostComment
