    That was hilarious

We've seen some dreadful performances and players over the years, but I can't remember one thats been so offensive. Thing is with some of them, they were complete garbage, but you got the impression they cared enough to try.

Dundee was the worst player I have ever seen play for Liverpool, but he was complete effluent and wasn't capable of much more.

Meijer was a madman, but rubbish. He seemed to love giving it a go though.

Joe Cole is supposed to be talented. He's playing at a level similair to van der Meyde when he was at Everton, and we know what was going on there now!

        The summer 2014.

By that time we will pay him £18.7m in wages

I'd let him go free but there is no clubs out there that will pay his wages.

The best thing we can hope for is that he finds a new club and we continue to subsidize portion of his wages (difference what other club is willing to pay and what we agreed to pay him) for the length of the remaining contract with us.

D'ya know, when Rafa was sacked I was obviously absolutely gutted.

But then we signed Cole and I thought with him, Gerrard and Torres in the same team with then we have three world class matchwinners. Along with the likes of Reina, Agger, Lucas and Johnson.

I thought Cole, Gerrard and Torres would fire us easily back into the top four.

You must have been drunk and full of noodles. Cole has never been remotely like a world class match winner

Don't be too hard on yourself.

I still remember Stevie saying "'Anything Messi can do, Joe can do as well, if not better"

                  Noodles ffs.

Mate in fairness Joe Cole was a very good player. I saw him loads when he played for West Ham and a fair amount at Chelsea.

Trouble is he hasn't been any good since 2006.

I hear you Lee, but there is a big difference between being a good player (yonks ago) and being a world class match winner

I was young, deluded and full of misguided optimism.

Come on mate, after the appointment of Hodgson I had to have something to give me some hope.

I was excited a bit, got caught up in the whole trophy signing thing. For which I feel truly dirty inside, might as well be a NUFC fan, ffs.

Thing is, I never really rated him at all when was at Chelsea, or when he played for Ingerlund.

We had to hold onto something during that period I guess.

No wonder Rodgers is angry at him
