I guess it is better to know you are not part of your manager's plans like Wayne Bridges and still being paid 100k per week.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostWhy would he want to move to Russia? It's hardly appealing.
If I was Joe I'd have stayed until January at least and then take a look at things then. When fit at the start of the season he was well in contention for games, and whilst the performance of the youngsters has made it tougher, he wasn't to know they'd excel.
Had the youngsters fell flat on their arses he'd have been in the match day squad pronto.
As it stands he will play an odd game here and there and he'll be a starter for reserves but 100k per week is 100k per week I suppose.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Brendan Rodgers on Joe Cole
Cole was brought into the side to face Swansea last night
Liverpool crashed out of the Capital One Cup last night, losing 3-1 to Swansea at Anfield.
Facing the side he left in the summer, Brendan Rodgers admitted the Reds did not deserve to win the game.
Rodgers used the tie to take a look at a number of his squad players, including the likes of Joe Cole, Samed Yesil, Jack Robinson and Sebastien Coates, but was forced to take off Cole and Yesil at half time in favour of Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez, as the Reds' found themselves 1-0 down.
After the game, Rodgers said: "I know the size of the job here, and that is another lesson for me tonight in terms of where we're at, giving other players the opportunity to come in and shine and that is all you can do as a manager, it then becomes quite easy for me, but it means your squad is then even thinner. I can't keep playing Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez as our only striker."
Joe Cole has featured just three times this season, playing a total of 78 minutes, but picks up £90,000 per week, he was substituted at half time after failing to make any impact. Rodgers said:
"Joe Allen was virtually playing on his own in midfield in the first half, with all due respect. It's something that's another game for me to take away and analyse the group. Joe, again, it's that opportunity. The club has invested an astronomical amount of money in a player who's a talented player. He's been back fit now for a number of weeks and the opportunities have been limited, and I thought it was difficult for him. It was too slow. It just isn't what I expected from a team that I've set up to try and be dynamic."

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
