I'm not sure - I think it is possible. Certainly the Norwich game would appear to suggest that it has an element of truth to it. For example, it is really hard to discern from the outside how much his long passing is a matter of his choosing or lack of better short options.

I've been one of the people criticising him. Not to the extend of some who have been saying he's been **** but certainly I thought he looked out of place in the style we were aiming for.

Victory lifted Liverpool up to 14th place and Allen believes Saturday’s win could prove to be a springboard for the season ahead.

The £15million man linked up brilliantly with goal scorers Steven Gerrard and Nuri Sahin as the Reds bossed the midfield.

“The three of us really enjoyed playing together,” said Allen. “We’ve all got that similar sort of style in terms of passing.

A clear dig at Shelvey, Lucas and Henderson. Disappointing from Allen.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Personally, I thought it was intended as a savaging of Suso.

And still no word on his contract. It's pretty clear everyone hates him and wants him to leave.

I think hes having a dig at rodgers and allen.

                He also said this

"im not going to try all kinds of crazy passes. But when my passing is right I know brendan rodgers will like it."

Which implies that rodgers doesnt like it at present. Another thing why would you call your manager by his full name especially when you're talking about him. Why not just say 'the boss' or 'gaffer" "manager".

I wish I could the whole article up because its pretty decent.

There seems to be some undercurrent that Rodgers is trying to 'improve' Gerrard's game. We all know Gerrard is immense but the one thing he has always lacked is a patient build-up (therefore opposition references to 'hollywood balls' or Stevie Me').

I see Gerrard's comments as following SARA (Shock, Anger, Resistance, Acceptance). A natural reaction which nearly always ends in (happy) acceptance.

I honestly think that once players go beyond 13/14 its very hard to improve them technically. Once they go beyond 27/28 its very hard to improve them tactically.

I think rodgers has his work cut out with the skipper if he thinks that he can improve him. Its a case of gerrard doing what he normally does and rodgers putting up with it until he can be phased out. Rafa improved gerrard beyond belief but rodgers wont. Its too late for that.

Instead he needs to focus on the younger players those sub 24/25 and work hard with them.

if only we had spearing, adam and j.cole as our midfield trio

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He strikes me as a thoughtful, well-brought up and relatively intelligent lad. I think it's important we have a core of players like him. So many footballers appear such utter morons, so it's great to have the likes of Allen, Sahin, Agger and other relatively intelligent, articulate and mature young lads in the squad.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
