The ease with which young players are written off is so depressing. He's had good games and bad games why does this need to be said so soon? Wasn't that long ago Gareth Bale was a nationwide laughing stock including amongst Spurs fans.

Brilliant post. Some young players are up & down until they settle. Silly to moan so much.

He was **** today don't think anyone can deny that and he has been poor apart from first 5 games. Not writing him off but he should be no where near the first team at the moment.

He was **** first half. All our team was really, but he was probably the worst due to bring in the most important position.

From the 50min mark onwards, he looked good, as did most our team.

I was happy when we signed him and more so after his first few games. I don't know whether he has been found out with regards to pressurising him, pressure at new club, off form or if he can't hack it. For me though needs a rest for few weeks and shouldn't be a starter.

I agree he shouldn't start, I'd have started Hendo. IMO he will be worth the £15m. But many would be right to argue that we may have done better had we spent the money on other players last summer.
