    I don't know.

But I do know that he had a low centre of gravity.
    Oh I don't know.

Allegedly, according to a bloke in the lav at a different venue, kicked out of a bar in Chester tonight. Not very exciting news I agree

I actually love how players like Allen respond to being a sub , he comes on and gives his all and is straight away up to the pace of the game.

Showing the right way that he wants to be here and also arguably playing his best football at the same time.

I think his recent run of form is much to do with putting himself in the shop window.

Allen's a good player but I believe he's struggled with the expectation at Liverpool. His now don't-give-a-**** attitude knowing that he's leaving Anfield has actually helped him remove a mental block. Combine this with Allen wanting to showcase his ability and the improvement is there for all to see.

I think he'd be a valuable squaddie, but I think he's gone. I don't think Allen ever recovered from Rodgers playing him as Lucas' replacement in the holding role.

It's all down to the hair.

Yep he is in full on Rick Grimes mode with the longer hair and beard.

Lucas, Allen, Can clearly making cases to stay but then you have Milner and Henderson plus Grujic and AN Other we assume is one the way.

It could be the captaincy that's holding him back or his earlier injuries but he's not been that good this season generally.
I think that Klopp sees Lucas as a CB and I think he might be the replacement for Toure next year. But if we are looking at him purely as a CM his place is definately under threat as Klopp rarely plays him there, the same applies to Allen. In fact I would say that Can aside none of our current CM have really proved themselves in Klopp's time here. I think all bets could be off regarding who stays and who goes, I think Lucas, Allen, Milner and Henderson would all still have some work to do to justify their CM spots next year.

There is also the issue of his place in the Wales squad for the Euros, if he isn't getting game time then his place will be under threat.

Absolutely agree with Muddled on this one.

If Allen knew he was staying, I don't think his performances would've been anywhere near as good. He's playing for a future with a good team elsewhere, and to show Klopp and co why they are wrong to get rid. I don't recall him moaning, so fair play to him, and I hope he ends up at a decent side fighting for European places (apart from us ).

Happy birthday to "young" Joe Allen. 26 today.

I think it's harsh on Allen to suggest that he has ulterior motives for playing well now. He has never seemed that sort of player and had genuine excuses for struggling previously, whether it be injury, pressure of being Xavi / Brendan's golden boy or just not utilized properly. When Klopp joined a lot of people suggested that Allen would suit his style of play and could become an important player. It hasn't exactly worked out like that, but I do think he's looked a better player under Klopp and more comfortable in the role and it has as much to do with Klopp's tactics than anything else suggested.

If current player level is an indicator then Sturridge and Henderson are off in the summer!

If there's one thing we've all agreed on, it's what a brilliant player Joe Allen is and what great value he's returned on that £15million investment.

Sadly he's been one of our better investments in the past 5 years or so.

Be interesting to see if he gets much more game time before the end of the season and what we decide to do with him. Puts in a few more decent performances and Wales do well at the Euros, then worst case scenario we could recoup most if not all of that £15m.
