I think Klopp prefers Can, Milner and Henderson because they are taller than Allen, due to the opposition frequently trying long balls to bypass our pressing we need taller players in the midfield three.

Allen has been good lately though and should get a chance, but that would be in a midfield of Henderson and Milner if Can is getting a break IMO, Lucas and Allen lack the physical status IMO.

It is a good point that - Can is one of the blokes we use to man mark opponents defending set-pieces. Take him out and we'll struggle even more trying to defend them. We really are a short horse team.

If we drop Can then we really need to play Benteke.

He's much better higher up the pitch too.

Doesn't deserve half the stick he gets. I don't think I would want him starting for us every week but he's a very good squad player and deserves a run in the team after his recent performances.

For the good of some of our midfield, he needs to start. We look exhausted, and Allen is one of those who is fresh and is actually playing well when he's on the pitch. Even though I don't think he'll be here next season, he still has enough to contribute from now until the end of the season. He could make himself a little cult hero.
