I think opportunity knocks for Joe tomorrow.

I fancy he will start & if he puts in a performance like he did midweek then he's seriously making a case to start games. He's had plenty of stick & he's had some amount of praise at times but I personally said I'd give everyone a clean slate under Klopp (Balotelli aside) and judge based on that, with a mind on past endeavours.

I think so far Joes done well under Klopp. But I'm not getting carried away just yet.
    Forwards.......

      Joe "Pirlo Allen

Sorry Mods I could not find his thread if he has one, please merge.

He seems a different player under Klopp. Dangerous, looks a player who can change a game now, finds space all the time and you expect him to do something incisive when he is on the ball.

When he scored that goal it honestly brought tear to my eye ... ****ing get in !!!!

      Pirlo goes ****ing nowhere

Against expansive opposition yes. Against Crystal Palace or Watford? The jury is still out...

Was swearing no end when he came on. Well in Allen, excellent goal. Good lad.

            I like little Joe

Gets way too much stick. And if you allow him to get forward he picks up good positions. I'd be tempted to start him against United.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah definitely, his great strength is his passing weight, it's spot on so consistently. Compared to our other players who are over and under hitting passes and through balls way too often, his is just right.

I'd love to see him against Man Utd and we should go for the jugular right away.

I don't have a problem with him, he's a decent squad player, I don't see him as anything more, if you have a couple of injuries in midfield he is a good option to come in and do a job, better than we have had for such roles in the past, and better than many sides have as options now.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Last few performances have comfortably exceeded anything that went before.

He keeps this up we would be mad to sell him, great option off the bench

                          The reverse Lucas Leiva effect.

If Schweinsteiger and/or Carrick start Allen will be handy to have playing from the off.

I wouldn't start him against United, they're going to be ultra physical, we need Can, Hendo and possibly Lucas in there from the start.

The same is true about Firmino

His best performances have come when hes played against the likes of Arsenal, City etc..

When it comes to the nitty gritty of scrapping and fighting I'm not sure either Allen or Firmino will dig you out of a hole
