Its ok to lash out, but there is absolutely no excuse for bringing race into it. Lifetime ban for Clattenburg if this is proven, no doubt at all.

The FA dug themselves into a massive hole dealing with Evra and Suarez. This is just brilliant, can't wait to see how they try to get out of this (if the allegations are true that is).

I don't know about the racist allegations, but leaving that aside. If it was just swearing and abuse. It is no different to the sort of things he gets I guess. Ref's get a bad time of it, mostly for their decisions. But having 22 blokes scream at you 2 or 3 times a week must be wearing. Im not surprised he lashed out if its true.

Thats because FIFA/FA tolerate this type of behaviour. Some of the rules governing the game need to be really looked at as the game is certainly not gentlemanly.

If football took the stance of Rugby where any abuse of officials means a freekick or the movement of a freekick a further 10 yards forward or in the worst case scenario a sin bin type punishment that would help reduce the abuse officials get.

But unfortunatley the men running the game are stuck in a bygone (corrupt?) age.

If as some people are suggesting the phrase used is 'cheeky money' this could get very interesting, as that is a phrase I have heard alot and never in a racial context, but it is easy to see how it could be taken that way in this context. If that is what he said I would guess that he didn't mean it in a racial context. However it leaves the FA with a problem, after the Suarez case they said that context/cultural references don't matter, and stripping these away whether intentionally or not the accusation is that he called a player a monkey, which is totally unacceptable.

So if Man Utd get another Korean and resort to that ****e song about Park, and Benitez gets another job in England and gets called a 'fat Spanish waiter', then I'd expect the book to be thrown at those fans as well.

Thing is they reap what they sew, they've all let DBF get away with it for years, so now, other managers are following his lead, and doing all the things DBF has been praised for over the years, mind games, throwing bile in refs faces, the FA should have got a grip on it long ago.
