Maybe it's different set of volumes. I dunno.
They both exist in a quantum superposition of mentalist and visionary states and we will only be able to determine which state they are in when their wave function collapses?

Errm, the Pique and Fabregas comparisons are quite frankly embarassing. Both those players went abroad to big clubs playing CL football and returned better players after several years. We let Ince go to Blackpool and are bringing him back in little over a year. Spot the difference, I dare you.

Pique only played a handful of games at Utd. 12 to be exact. So I think it is a pretty close comparison. Different countries I grant you. But its hardly embarrassing.

It isn't a perfect analogy but I think the point that just buying a player back isn't, of itself, anything to worry about. The point is whether the time away has improved them to the point where they would now benefit the first team.

You could argue that letting obviously exceptional talents like Fabragas and Pique get away in the first place was a much bigger mistake than us letting Ince try his hand in the Championship.

Born in Barcelona, Catalonia,[1] Piqué started his career in FC Barcelona's youth teams as a defensive midfielder, but before he signed his first professional contract with the club, he decided to join Manchester United. The Premier League side did not pay a fee for Piqué as he was too young to have a professional contract.
That is infact the exact same situation that Ince was in when he signed for Blackpool.

No, Im not on about stature of the clubs. He left to play football, then was brought back. How is that different?

the Pique situation is interesting in that the story goes that Whiskey nose had 2 up and coming CBs, Pique and Jonny Evans, and could only hold onto one as a backup as he already had Ferdinand and Vidic.

                            He chose Evans.....................lol.

Big difference, Pique went abroad to a 'massive' club whereas Ince moved up the road to Blackpool to play at a far inferior level.
