We'll never know, but I think he'd overexerted himself slightly, so there's a chance that's what caused the injury. He didn't play much last season so I always felt three games in a week was pushing it for him.

Notts Co play a more physical game than teams in the PL do. You get more bad challenges from them because we play a higher passing tempo.

You also have a team on the other side that will give 100% in every situation and it is a cup game.

The risk to get injured is IMO bigger in a game like this than in a PL game.
