He looks a tad unbalanced. I don't know how to describe it, but you know those mates that don't play football but come to the rec for a kick about in the summer? The one who jutters on the spot, hopping quickly between their two feet, before swinging a leg when the ball approaches?
That was Kolo Toure yesterday.

Maybe him playing on the left side of central defence does not help him one bit. I think Skrtel looked unsure as well when played there at some point.Originally posted by Muddled View PostHe looks a tad unbalanced. He is a really bad fit for our team which is disappointing because I always had it in my head that we was the sort of defender who was no nonsense but who could bring the ball forward and find a pass. He's looking a shadow of the player I thought we was and needs to be used far more sparingly for a whileOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI think he's rubbish. As that cross was coming in it seemed to go in slow motion and I had already envisaged him slicing it into his own net. For him to then actually go and do it was ****ing unbelievable. Inexcusably poor.

He was immense at Arsenal and is recreating his form here.Originally posted by Reece View PostNot just a man, Tee - a man who likes to have FUN TIMES.
He's easily become one of my favourites
I'd be tempted to try him as DM at some point.Originally posted by G View PostHe's a cult hero already, and a damn fine defender.Originally posted by I, Juan Mata View PostA captain's performance today.Originally posted by fah-q View PostKolo
Originally posted by kop-al-74 View PostYou know, I think he can even play in a position similar to Yaya Toure. So much power and strength and he certainly isn't no slouch. I would definatly consider him for there for the Palace game now Lucas is banned.Originally posted by I, Juan Mata View PostI'd put him in midfield just to give him more opportunities to get at the opponent's goal. He certainly deserves one (or two)!Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI absolutely love this man. I love him. He makes me happy.Originally posted by danperkins View PostBeen brilliant for us and such a likeable funny guy.Originally posted by BigChief View PostThe man is a winner. So much appetite coupled with intelligence and ability. That alone will keep him on top for many years.

Could we rename the thread to "Kolo Toure, our man crush"?Originally posted by kingfunk View PostBeast.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostWhat a player! I reckon he's still got a few good years in him yet.Originally posted by Rich View PostNot as good as his younger brother...meh.
Seriously though, he's been tremendous for us. No way is he over the hill and just looking to pick up his wages. His enthusiasm on the pitch looks infectious and will do wonders for morale you'd think. No doubt he's taken Sakho under his wing too.Originally posted by RedReet View PostAbsolutely love big Kolo.
Originally posted by spider-neil View PostKolo has got to remain in the team regardless of who comes back. I don't care who gets dropped to make room for him.Originally posted by Norbs View PostI don't remember him being this popular elsewhere but he's an absolute gem of a personality.Poor Kolo.Originally posted by Charly View PostMonster!
Surely we can keep signing world class players over 30 on a free transfer each season. This experience is vital to such a young team, and the defence especially. Id rather than than blow £25m on an up and comming player like Sakho.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The Kolo/Cissokho pairing is a bit worrying, even if the latter is doing a bit better now, but back alongside Agger I still think Kolo could perform well again.
Not likely though unless Skrtel picked up a bad injury.
Either way, he BR’s Pellegrino, so we do have any success this year we can assume it’s thanks to Big Kolo.
