Makes no sense Alberto played against several teams this season and looked quite composed Smith has never played for the first team ever.

He's clearly not good enough yet, but hopefully the work behind the scenes will pay off. Some players adapt immediately, some take time. He's only young, be patient.

Teeny weeny cameo last night but I really think he looks a player. He got the ball three times and kept the ball three times, creating two chances with beautifully weighted balls - and all in the last 10 minutes when the game was dead. In fact they were the only chances created in that period. And the very first thing he did was a really lovely and intelligent "over". I like him.

That curling pass he fizzed around the back of their player last night was a thing of beauty. You can tell he has talent, he just needs to believe in himself. He came on last night with the bit between his teeth. He needs to do that more.
