    I agree.

I think, for his own good, he should clarify. So far he hasn’t really explained his current POV. Because so far he has said he set out to kill an (any) innocent black person.

    That’s extreme.

Not quite what he said. He essentially said he wanted someone to start on him as he walked about the streets of certain neighbourhoods. So he went looking for trouble yes, but I don't think someone who starts on him could be classed as innocent?

If he wanted to attack any black person, innocent or not, I think he could have done so. However, his objective was to retaliate (with extreme prejudice) to an attack on him.

        "kill him" was the quote.

The audio is in that link.

As anecdotes go, it's at best ill-judged and i doubt very much, a premeditated comment. The key things is this was an angry man who finally came to and i would like think has grown up and evolved as an adult. The context of NI as a society is interesting, it doesn't mitigate racism but violence was certainly desensitised among many white males.

****ing right. Its about as sensational as it gets. It is definitely the foundation of a much needed conversation around race and racism and particularly latent racism.

I agree he definitely didn't plan to say it and sparking a valuable debate or not he must surely regret it on a personal level. Imagine what his family and kids must be thinking.

I read an article that supposed, if his friend had said that her rapist was white would he have just gone outside and shot himself in the head?

              Tricky one isnt it...
All signed and done, does he have to have actually played for cardiff to have "left" nantes.
Sounds a bit mercenary but i suppose technically they are right.

Like you said .....He was officially a Cardiff City player so Nantes are within their rights to ask for the Transfer payments whether it's morally right or wrong is down to each individual.

Maybe the timing isn't great. Cardiff have already said they will pay once all paperwork has been verified.

If the deal was signed and done then they need to pay the fee and claim back in insurance.

I don't think waiting until everything has been verified and the dust has settled a little to be unreasonable. Plus I'm sure the insurance is only covering 50% so that needs to be looked into.

Insurance payments on a car or home can take months, I really don't see this type of situation being resolved any sooner.

I agree the timing is shocking, however for purposes of tax and the books I can see where the club is coming from. They need to balance them.

Mate who’s a Cardiff city fan thinks the transfer fee will be taken care of by insurance. The contract to Sala however is another thing.

Disagree with most of the posts. They haven't even found the body. Massively Disrespectful. Imagine if you knew anyone involved. It's not about the mechanics of insurance FFS
