If you read the story though they've just sent an invoice, all the demand stuff is tacked on to give it added drama. Likely an accountant so far removed from the footballing side of the club he doesn't have a clue beyond the books.Originally posted by Saveloy View PostDisagree with most of the posts. They haven't even found the body. Massively Disrespectful. Imagine if you knew anyone involved. It's not about the mechanics of insurance FFS
To spin it the other way is it massively disrespectful of Cardiff to use the accident as an excuse to delay paying?
A potential none story which in of itself is disrespectful to the families. Keep it between the clubs, no story, no upset.

Totally agree with all the money in football and that’s the best plane they could charterOriginally posted by Leyton388 View PostIt is sad but what I find strange is the type of plane that was chartered for a £15m premier league footballer. It looked like something instructors use to give flying lessons in and certainly not the type of plane to use at night flying over the sea in winter with.

I agree, particularly about the night bit. Was chartered by the player and his agents though.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostIt is sad but what I find strange is the type of plane that was chartered for a £15m premier league footballer. Cardiff were going to book him scheduled flight.
Looking at it non emotionally it is mental that you let a £15m asset get into a plane like that.
I wonder if there are insurance clauses around that sort of thing? And if there aren’t, I’ll bet there will be soon.Modifying post.

I think he wiped clear the debt or something as well, they were in a difficult situation and he cleared and offered to play for free, IIRC.Originally posted by Irishnev View Post
that’s a good point, I liked the fact he played for virtually free for his boyhood club.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
