You'd assume so. I think there is a bit of pressure on football authorities to stop punishing an addiction to betting when the sport is so heavily sponsored by it but spot fixing and affecting the integrity of games you are involved in is a different level.

Not just the integrity of the game but I imagine it will make all those gambling companies who put in a lot of sponsorship money in will be unhappy about it. And the way the sport is going that might be a more significant factor in the decision...

Clearly he’s absolutely ****ed if found guilty - he is alleged to have deliberately got himself booked so others could defraud betting companies. I would say that is a multi year ban - what a muppet!
