Nah. ****ing awful time zones for the rest of the of the civilised world to be watching games of football

Anyone paying attention when Infantino was poised to take over. He was the corrupt continuity candidate that corrupt football associations chose to keep their gravy train going. The US investigation should have been a watershed moment, but the corruption at national level wasn't dealt with, the people who got rich on the back of blatter still controlled the national FAs and still controlled the votes in FIFA. And worst of all, the likes of the English FA didn't have the balls or stomach to do anything different either and voted for the cunt. Shameful all round.Originally posted by peterbread View PostWho would of thought they’d be a more corrupt president after Blatter

Not so good in the southern states or NZ for that matter. It’ll never happen unless someone comes out with a brown paper bag filled with cash

That devalues the trophy, if anything. Makes it less legitimate.Originally posted by Mark79 View Post

That's a bit of a red herring, only the North African states are comparable with ME in terms of temperatures.Originally posted by rudedog View PostSame reason the last WC took place in the middle of the UEFA season, because the countries hosting the tournament are generally too hot to play football in the summer months.
The Tropics don't really vary that much in temperature and our summer is the winter for the southern hemisphere so conditions for a summer tournament would be fine.

Why they still allow the AFCON to take place in the middle of the UEFA season, when the vast majority of the superstars for the tournament have played here for years is beyond me.
