So he had a medical before the World Cup (for France) which he passed. All a bit odd.

I can't see liverpool potentially ending a players career saying he's failed a medical to cover something up which to me could be what redknapp is saying.
If it was wage demands or we suddenly couldn't afford him we'd say something else.....to say he's failed a medical would put a big question mark over his future and I just don't see liverpool as the type of club to virtually blacklist a player unless they deemed it fit too
Guess eventually it will come outi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I don't know the ins and outs of footballing insurance, presumably QPR have Remy insured and he has his own insurance. I'd still be tempted to take a chance on him, we could spend £40m on a top class striker who could receive a career-ending injury in a warm-up friendly. Sport is a risky business.

But then insurance would cover that and we wouldn't make a loss. If we signed Remy and he got a career ending injury on the back of a preexisting condition then we'd lose the transfer fee and his wages as insurance wouldn't pay outOriginally posted by TheElephantMan View PostI don't know the ins and outs of footballing insurance, presumably QPR have Remy insured and he has his own insurance. I'm making the assumption that he already has insurance, I presume that QPR have him insured to protect their investment and I also presume that Remy himself has his own personal insurance? It's not something I know anything about, but all I'm saying is that maybe it's worth taking a risk? Other teams have taken a risk with players who have failed their medical. It could go tits up or it could be fine. Every transfer is a risk.Originally posted by meffin View PostBut then insurance would cover that and we wouldn't make a loss.
