    Favorite non LFC players

I'm just watching a replay of LFC V Villa from 98-99 season & it got me thinking of opposition players that I've enjoyed watching over the years .

Dion Dublin is one of the players I've enjoyed watching cause he was a such a good striker & always played with a smile on his face. I don't remember him diving or carrying on trying to get players carded or anything so I respect him for that.

Who have you enjoyed & why?

    Hated that cunt Dublin.

Mine were the likes of Glenn Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne. Loved them both. Chris Waddle too. The Spurs connection is a coincidence. Waddle was underrated - a brilliant winger.
    Thanks very much for being

Not sure if he can be mentioned in the same breath as Dion Dublin, but my favourite player outside of LFC was probably original Ronaldo.

I hate to admit it but George Best was a joy to much even though I hated the ****er

Is he an attacker? Is he a defender?

In School when we played at lunch it was always Man Utd vs Liverpool. If I had to go on the Man Utd side I always chose Dion Dublin

If I had to go on the Man Utd side, I would have walked off and not played.

Well when I was 8/9 I wasn't an adult with fully formed opinions. I just wanted to play football with my mates

I used to like Dalian Atkinson and David Hirst. Dalian scored some amazing goals and Hirst could hit it so hard. Liked di canio as well, quality player. Paul Lake was a good player for a year or two. I liked Dublin at Cambridge along with John Taylor. Fitzsoy Simpson at Swindon was a hard player. Southall was the best keeper I've seen. Des walker in his prime was brilliant and I used to base my game on Stuart Pearce, crunching hard tackles from behind on the touchline. Gazza obviously. Hoddle used to put spin on the ball. Truly majestic player. Purely because of his size I also had a soft spot for Micky Quinn and there was a little **** from Peterborough who played centre midfield for Coventry I liked, a midget. Can't remember his name. Good days.
