I do feel for the players a bit as they did not chose the venue, and nobody knows where they will be in four years. but at the same time they could take the opportunity to take a stand.

Haven't seen the game but checked the BBC news feed and it has nearly a million viewers, so on that metric, looks like World Cup viewing is high enough.
