When he came back from his successful spell at Coventry, I thought he had some potential. He played pretty well for us subsequently and, a touch fortunately maybe, got in the England squad. Been all downhill since then though.
You're right, he's not good enough for us. I'm quite sorry about it really, as he's a likeable bloke (seemingly) and a likeable player with an admirable, wholehearted attitude. Shame it's not worked out for him and I wish him very well in the future.

He's a far better player than Warnock. Whether he would get in the Manc side or in the Chav side is a different matter but that could be said for several of our current squad.

If I was in Rovers shoes today, I wouldn't let him go, they need some experience seeing as Reid is now crocked for the rest of the season, and they are trying to get Dunn in as cover. Hughes will prob do his best to keep his capt till the summer at least, and has no reason really to let him go this transfer window, except a little cash in return, peanuts in the grand scheme of things.
