    Kuyt
    Bellamy
    Pennant
    Gonzales
    Aurelio
    Paletta

With regard to the Pennant debate, until he can play consistently well, week in week out, he will only ever be a squad player. Moaning on camera and playing well in a couple games doesn't warrant a starting place in the team.

Kuyt - Brilliant player of the season.

Bellamy - **** start but after he has got his mind on the game looks quality just wish he was a better finisher.

Gonzalez - Looks very poor, maybe just needs time to adjust. I was looking forward to him as well.

Aurelio - Very very poor start but starting to get his **** together and show why some people think he is Brazil's best left back.

Pennant - Very **** start, has been having good games for the last month and a half. As I thought he just needed time to settle into a big club.

Paletta - Not enough to make a good judgement. Has looked fine against Birmingham and Reading but against Arsenal he was total ****. Lack's pace.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If our strikers (especially crouch) have been a little bit more efficient with their headers, i think you would now see Pennant leading the assist chart.
Agree Bellers had the same thing, I admit I thought he was a terrible signing but he has been brilliant since his court case has finished. I have to say that I feel sometimes we should cut the players a bit of **** as they might be having personal problems (ala Bellers even though he was never going to be found guilty)

Pennant - has improved, though I'm yet to be convinced

Aurelio - Still not sure he's a left back, class on the ball though

Bellamy - Unfortunately he has no neck to strangle, fortunately his pace, added to having a proper feel for the game (unlike Cisse), has made a real difference

Paletta - needs to go out on loan to another Premiership side to see if he can cut it. He's learning nothing sitting on the bench.

Gonzalez - has shown glimpses, shame about the injuries
Well said. I agree with every word now you mention it.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Aurelio and Gerrard are our best two crossers of the ball, and it's hard to say who is the better of the two.

I wish someone in our team would cross from further up the pitch. Aurelio and Gerrard are genuinely talented at crossing from deep but a cross from nearer the byline is often more dangerous even if it is less well executed. Pennant occasionally shows willing and I hope that as the season goes on he will do it much more.

That would make a lot of sense.
Dunno who would take him though -it would probably be more likely that he would attract a Championship team.

I would rather he went to a top Championship team than a struggling PL team to be honest. Better for his confidence and although the standard would be lower he would get used to dealing with the sort of tactics that lesser teams use against us.

I think it would have been even more useful for a keeper like Carson as the challenge for a top keeper is to maintain concentration and pull of one blinding save after a long period of inactivity. Also the Charlton defence is so poor it doesn't help him to make descisions on crosss in the way he will have to for us, with them he basically has to go for everything (although in Carsons case being encouraged to come out to claim the ball might be a good thing).

That's why we need Giovanni dos Santos

Has he played for Barca yet? Haven't followed him very closely - he is a Mexican under 18 right?

                            Yes.

I know he featured in a few pre-season games for them.

This season he has played for Barca B, and is apparently one of the main players in the lower league.

interesting that people rate bellamy so much, even if he had a ****e start, where as pennant cant do anything right
