What exactly is this attitude that people talk about?

As far as I can see he has been slagged off. even before he signed, has been booed by his own "supporters", and thee were even people on here who were happy when he got injured.

Despite this he seems to have worked at his game and has been continually improving over the past 10 games or so. Against Chelsea he was excellent although there are still those who begrudge admitting so.

His attidude seems ok to me, but then I am saying so from a distance

It's just what he says in the press - he has said on more than one occasion that "I have nothing to prove".
This is not what you want to hear from a player who has LOTS to prove.
Maybe he's just being naive - Stevie and Carra should be having a word with him and advising him on what to say in public.
It reminds of the way Baros used to talk, quite frankly.

Bellers - -> His pace is unbelievable. He just needs to run back and don't stand in offside position when we're atacking. I love his temper also

Pennant - -> He's showing some class lately, but still needs to prove himself, especially his crosses.

Gonzalez - -> He's quick but he reminds me of Baroš with his head down and running like hell. Hope he turns out a great addition to our squad though.

Aurelio - -> He was absolutely brilliant against Chavs recently and is a great crosser. Probably one of the best we have. His set pieces are great also.

Paletta - -> He had a shocker against Arsenal in Carling Cup and he is very slow, probably even slower than Hyypiä. Don't know what to expect from him, really.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - he should take our corners when he's playing. I'd love to see him whipping them in with Stevie G on the end of 'em...

I agree about Aurelio, but I turned to my mate at Anfield on Saturday and said 'watch Aurelio - he's our best crosser of the ball'.

Of course his first two crosses were ****e

Aurelio teases his crosses in. His delivery is superb. He has a WAND of a left foot.

Almost as good as my left foot.

The fact is Pennant is not very well liked by some of our own fans even before he kicked a ball for us because of the reputation he carries with him. This is very unfair.
If our strikers (especially crouch) have been a little bit more efficient with their headers, i think you would now see Pennant leading the assist chart.

Interesting Chris...what are your thoughts on some of the glorification of Pennant's recent form in this thread?

I could use many an example to highlight his short comings, instead I shall simply say that so far, Pennant has been ****.

And before anyone pipes up with his 'What about his goal against Chelse?' or 'He had a good half against Bolton', they need to think about the other 20 odd games where he has done **** all. Oh and just incase that isnt enough, the arguement that he puts balls into the box? Well, that only makes a difference if he puts balls into the box where our players are, not out for a thrown in.

Kuyt - A Liverpool player in every respect

Pennant - has improved, though I'm yet to be convinced

Aurelio - Still not sure he's a left back, class on the ball though

Bellamy - Unfortunately he has no neck to strangle, fortunately his pace, added to having a proper feel for the game (unlike Cisse), has made a real difference

Paletta - needs to go out on loan to another Premiership side to see if he can cut it. He's learning nothing sitting on the bench.

Gonzalez - has shown glimpses, shame about the injuries

What he did against Chelsea is as good as well see from him IMO. ( and he wont score every game. )
This second half against Bolton he had Kuyt running into space around him all the time, made him look good.
I think if it goes as Parry said and the new investment will take us that step further Pennant will be left behind.

Kuyt: has had a great first season. Is our best striker at the moment. Hope we will improve enough to leave him as a rotation player in 2-3 years.

Pennant: Dont think he will offer us much more then he does now, which is not quite enough.

Aurelio: Is looking better with every game now. If he keeps this up he should become a very good player for us.

Bellamy: Is really starting to come into his stride. If he keeps this up he will start putting in more goals for us and could become a key player for us for the next 4 years at least.

Paletta: Looks slow, weak in the air, and overwhelmed. Should be loaned out and I dont think he will make it as a Liverpool player.

Gonzalez: Has not gotten to terms with the EPL. Think he underestimated this league. I think he will come good in a season or two though as he has all the skills to become a top class player.
