Compared to Fabio, Gonzarlez and Paletta he's been a beckon in stormy weather. If 8% conversion has your support then Pennant should have it as well. He's getting there fast and looks better each game. Long may it continue.

You do appear to be biased against him - I cannot for the life of me see how anyone could say that Aurelio and Gonzales have done better this season.

Aurelio is starting to impress me now, and I'm still hoping that Gonzales will adjust to the pace once he gets fit again, but no-one with an objective head on could argue that the two of them have impressed more than Pennant over the season so far.

Not true at all.

The Bolton game was hardly a "wonderful" performance from Pennant!! Two good crosses, and either side of those was 88 minutes of sheer mediocrity.

I don't wanna be too harsh on the lad though - he's trying his best.

My analysis for what it's worth -

Kuyt - ... He's been very industrious, scored some good goals and linked up well with other attacking players. I have a feeling he will just get better and better the more games he plays in England with his team mates. Has been profligate at times in front of goal. I love him though!

Bellamy - Since the court case has ended, we have seen the real Bellamy. Sharp, quick and a good team player. Needs to time his runs better. Happy with his present form.

Aurelio - Had a difficult settling in period, which is understandable for someone from La Liga who could not speak English before. Injuries have also stymied him. His form has improved and the signs are there that he is coming to terms with life in England/Premiership. Jury is still out, but it's too early in any case to make a final judgment.

Gonzalez - Similar story to Aurelio (apart from the English comment). He's still very young. Looks like an extended run in the team would do him wonders. Once again, Jury is still out, but it's too early in any case to make a final judgment.

Pennant - Had a nightmare start to his Liverpool career, and has shown signs of late that he is improving. I'm very worried about his attitude though. He's continually coming out and talking about how "I've proved the doubters wrong" - bollocks! Say that when you've been instrumental in us winning a trophy. He needs to knuckle down and build on his last few performances ... if he does, then there is a place in the SQUAD for him.

Paletta - - People are being waaaayyy too harsh on him. Ok, the signs do not look good, but the guy is NINETEEN and has played FIVE matches for us (ONE as a sub). Jury's out etc. etc.

Just watched the first half highlights.

He had 3 assists, Crouch put a header wide, Alonso just missed the far post and Finnan hit the crossbar

He also linked up very well with Finnan on a few occasions.
