Kuyt - Very good. I still think there is more to come from him aswell.
Bellamy - Has been good since the end of the court case
Pennant - Useful but really only started to show his potential in the last few matches. I don't think that just because a player came from the same league we should always expect them to settle straight away - the pressure of playing for a big club can be as much of a challenge for a young player as changing league. He has handled the criticism he has had well.
    Gonzales - Improving needs time
Aurelio - had first good game against Chelsea. Showed why he was brought in. Needs more games before a real judgement can be made.
Paletta - I have an odd affection for him, but so far he has played poorly in his limited chances, plays too deep and seems to not be communicating with other defenders at all. Hopefully he will blossom when he has settled.

He has been good enough in one game this season IMO and that's simply not good enough.

Pennant was excellent against Chelsea both attacking and defensively. If you couldnt see that then it is quite obvious that you will never give him any credit.

He has frustrated me just as much as anyone else, but I think he deserves some credit when he does play well

I have absolutely no reason to be “biased” – how can I be “biased” against one of our own players?

You simply have to accept that I don’t think his performances have been good enough for a Liverpool player who cost upwards of six million pounds. Simple as that. Maybe you have lower standards than I do?

He is getting better and if, by the end of the season, he has justified his place in the squad then I’ll say so.

So far, he hasn’t. A couple of good games since the turn of the New Year won’t change that.

The problem with Pennant is that he set his standard early on and his standard was ****e.

So now, when he has an average game, people relate it to his usual standard, and consider his average game to be very good.

Which it isnt. Unless you go by his usual ****e standards.

I'm really lost for words. It's like we're watching completely different players to you and Shaggy, and it's almost pointless arguing.

Is this all a big wind up? You talk as if Pennant has torn up the Premiership FFS. Get a grip man.

                      You think he's been good?

He cant beat a man, doesnt have much pace, cant produce much in the form of impact (chelsea goal aside) and has often looked out of ideas.

I look for more from a £7m signing. Or indeed, a Liverpool player.

Did you read my posts, or have you just made that up?

I think it's you who needs to purchase a grip

OK, on Fredo's scale he's a for me, and if he can keep up his present form he'll be a

As for Pennant, well I've never seen so many crosses in the box by an LFC player since Digger.....

.....but that's not saying much, in fact, it's not saying anything.
