How do people feel about Gillett/Hicks

I don't think that it's any problem that they finished due dilligence in just three days. LFC is one of the most famous sports clubs in the World and that means that it also have a lot of supporters. With the new TV deal and new stadium they really couldn't overvalue the club.
The club will be worth much more than £500m in 10 years time.
They will back Rafa, build the stadium and we will get two very good businessmen that runs the club. Parry will stay and help them out and that's a good thing IMO.
I really don't care if our owners knows much about football as long as they know how to run the club.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Can some anorak have a peek around the internet to see if Hicks, Gillett (and Foster) have other big Baseball/Ice Hockey games around that time they have to attend.Originally posted by Kopite_Colin View PostI hope they're there for the Barca home game. And I hope we're level or 1-0 down. Because what they see, hear and feel will be unlike anything they've ever experinced in their entire lives. They may have been to Quebec or wherever, but they've never been to Liverpool on a European night. I wonder what the theme will be wfor the Kop's next flag day?
P.S. And I hope we go-on to play like the Harlem Globetrotters!
If not, they should be free to sample the magic of Anfield on a big European night.

It's different though.Originally posted by kopdan View PostThey've already been to a Liverpool game
They will know about the fans / atmosphere.
If they go to Sheff Utd at home in two weeks time, they would be forgiven for walking away thinking...
"Famous Anfield atmosphere?! Dunno about that....it was dead quiet".

I believe they went well Gillette went to the Charity Shield. I remember the Liverpool fans outnumbering chelsea's and singing their hearts out.
BUt yes, I agree. a Night on the kop for uncle George will cement the love"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"

I thought they both handled the press conference very well. Parry and Moores had obviously repeated a couple of key things again and again:
-This club exists to win things (the league and the European Cup). Doing ok and coming second is ok for others. Not us. And if you don't understand that, we don't want you.
-No groundshare. Don't even speak about it.
Only time and actions will tell, but I don't see what more they could have said today.

If you discount those reason then I'm not sure why else you would buy the club unless it was for business reasons - not necessarily a bad thing, however, if that is the case I want a ****ing brilliant businessman and not one who rushes through due dillegence and then offers way over the odds for the shares.....
it just seems like there are loads of contradictions.
Me and Dhavlos could well be wrong and I hope we are.
Mate I pray to God we are wrong, spectacularly so.
I guess here is where we place our faith and trust in Parry, Moores and the Board, that they made the right choice and for the right reasons. We'll have reservations, we always will, until #19 is ours and the stadium is built and fully paid for.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
Purslow = C*nt
