I think he's going to go for something like this:

    ------------Kuyt
    Gonzo-----------------Gerrard
    -----Mascherno--Momo
    ----------- Alonso
    Riise---Agger---Carra---Finnan
    -----------Reina--------------

Eto'o has been back in full training for a couple of weeks now, and he got few minutes for Barca the other night.

Unfortunately he's still got two weeks to be match sharp, he'll be fit and ready.

Can't see Gerrard wide right when we're playing 5 in midfield tbh. Shame we don't have Luis to play behind the front man

oh really? knew about Messi, but thought Eto'o was going to see the medical team about progress etc etc.
In any event if we can stop Deco and Xavi getting on the ball them we should be ok to cut out the supply to Eto'o.

I think possession of the football is the key.

In my opinion, if you keep posession against Barca, they get frustrated, and Eto'o, Deco, Ronaldinho, Messi, Guily and the likes rarely track back, allowing player space to operate in the midfield.

Moreover, when they (Barca) do eventually get the ball, they overcompensate, trying to beat a man too quickly...they lose their 'cool'.

If we have the majority of possession in the first leg, I think we'll at least snatch a draw.

I'd bite your hand off for a 0-0, or even a 2-1 defeat right now...

Two weeks for some sort of freak pony-tail and teeth related injury to strike down Ronaldinho in his prime.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.

He's not the key for them.

Xavi and Eto'o are their two most influential players.

Well yeah, Messi, Deco and Guily are quite handy as well. Ronaldinho is just a presence. If he wasn't there, imagine the confidence boost the lads would have.

and Deco, he is a proper playmaker, keeps things ticking over for them,

deco for me was the key last season, in a large part because xavi was injured. iniesta is now a proper threat mind, really made a jump this year but still wont start. oleguer is a bit of a weak link, riise might get a good go at him. can almost guarentee if aurelio is fit he'll start.
