        Saj,

I think he is entitled to his opinion which is what he is doing, I personally think he is worth more than £15m and I myself would consider selling him for £25m+ we have momo and mascherano and gerrard in the middle and I am sure it would not be hard to find someone else to "cover" but I rate xabi hugely and although at some point he will move to Spain, I do not think it will be for quite a while. I believe alot of the players here now will want to stick around until the new stadium as well.....mind games by barca but he is entitled to his opinion

If reports are correct we could end up paying a similar ammount for MAscherano. I know which of the two I would keep. Selling Alonso for £15m would be a big mistake IMHO.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

One thing is for sure, we wont be able to keep Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko and Masher happy.

            One will be sold.

I think you mih be supprised.
I think we will see Mascherano and Alonso as a midfield duo, complementing each other infront of the back 4. With Gerrard playing an advanced midfield position. there could also be a place for sissoko, not sue about every game, but Rafa seems to like him.
Rafa will enjoy using his rotation system with these players.

Yeah set up someone in the press to circulate rumours, hen say, we have nothing to say if approached by Barca and know nothing of these rumours.

Nah mate, all four of those lads are top, top class players.

We wont be able to keep all four happy, unless Rafa wants to use Stevie on the right wing permanently.

Is sissoko really top class though?
I know, e is a reat tackler, not many if any better than him in the Premiership at doing that, but, his fooballing skills leave alot to be desired. If I was forced to pick a payer out of the 4 we had to loose, it would be him, for that reaso alone, I guess I just like player to be able to play footbal at the highest level.

Momo is a tackler and he breaks up play, but others can do that and pass/shoot as well. Hopefully he will develop that side of his game but at present he is limited.

Mascherano has allegedly has great ability in breaking up opposition play, plus he can play a bit too, pity he coudnt play today instead of Zenden.
I think i have already written this season off now psychologically, all that left for us is Europe. We really have to beat Barca, if ever there is a time we could use Momo it could possibly be this game.

It looks like the rumour around Xavi to Man U and Ronaldo to Barca could be true and they now want Xabi to replace Xavi.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Before people start banging on about Mascherano, how many of you have seen him play on a frequent basis? I'm guessing nobody has. One other question, does anybody know what kind of player he is, his attributes? etc etc.

We missed Xabi today badly. There was a lack of ball retention and I know the pitch was bad but having him on the pitch would have helped. Momo is a fantastic player - but his distribution and ball retention is poor. There's not many players like Xabi in the world and certainly no one can pass the ball as well as him.

I trade Xabi for Ronaldinho + Xavi and 1/2 of Puyol... If they're interested, good. If not, crack off
