      Barcelona's Eto'o defiant: I take back nothing!
      tribalfooball.com - February 14, 2007

Samuel Eto'o refuses to back away from his astonishing attack on Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard and teammate Ronaldinho yesterday.

The fiery Cameroon star said this morning: "It wasn't an explosion. I simply answered honestly the questions that were put to me. That's what you want, isn't it? For people to speak their minds?

"Gentlemen, I won't accept someone saying I am going against the playing group. We have trained 300 times and even when I was injured, I would stand in the rain and support them. And from that we form a family. I know we can't all be friends, but it doesn't excuse you from throwing s*** at your teammate!"

On his relationship with Rijkaard, Eto'o said: "Gentlemen, there will not be a problem between he and I. I won't take anything back. I am only going to say that someone is a bad person or a bad teammate when they mislead.

"With my knee, I need 15 minutes to warm up. Playing at home I can do that on the bicycle. This is why I couldn't go on (on Sunday). But people aren't interested in this. They just want controversy.

"If a teammate is upset with me, then they can say so to my face. I wasn't the one who broke the laws of the dressing room. If I have something to say, I always say it inside the dressing room."
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So the first thing we should do when they come to Anfield is to hide all bicycles.

We should leak to the press we are interested, like they have done with alonso.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

                from the official

Do you know any of the Barcelona players personally from your time in Spain?

They have some foreign players and I know Messi. I also know Eto'o as he was in the Academy at Real Madrid when I was there, so I have good relations with them.

Get a word in Rafa! Messi and Eto at Liverpool next season???
“Me having no education. I had to use my brains.”

I think we can keep dreaming about Messi.
Eto'o though would be an awesome signing, and if ever a club was crying out for him, it is us. But still I feel i'm dreaming just a little.

I saw the clip of Et'o on SSN last night. Wow, talk about giving yer boss **** in front of millions. I honestly do not see a way back for him at Barca. Lapoerta will sell him to the highest bidder now.

That probably means Chelsea. They have been after him a long time.

I can see Juve going for him to bolster their comback to Serie A next season.

Wouldnt we be a better option though?
Not just for us, but for him. He likes the way english football is run, (anit racism etc.). the premiership IMHO would suit his style much better than the slow paced build up of Italian football. He has all the attributes to be a world class striker in the Premiership. hOw I wish Rafa would make him a priority signing. Eto'o even said before he would liek to play for us.
Have a feeling the chavs are getting rid of Maureen (obviously) so chelsea could still be an option if he wanted out next season IMO.
