And for the other poster, Groucho successfully predicted Fowler

I'm fascinated why people are put off by Brendan. From what I've seen he is harmless, and straight talking. I must have missed something somewhere.

This info has now been copied and pasted on Insider, and it wasn't me who did it

He tends to start threads with an "alternative" view. Some people just can't get their heads around that there is in fact more than one perspective that can be taken and if they do insist the red tinted one is the one that's used.

Brendan is objective and often draws some clever comparisons. Someone should give him a column to write.

Well as far as I remember it was Johnny H that broke the Fowler story wasn't it ?

I think some insecure, dim people feel as if that by being "bested" on an internet message-board - as pointless and irrelevant as that may be - by someone who has a different opinion (and admittedly probably more of, shall we say, a gift with words), is , I don't know, somehow emasculating?

                            It really upsets them, anyway.

i think its more the lack of rationale behind your criticism of crouch, you seem to think that you know something about crouch that none of us including rafa can see
