Don't see why not, as long as we don't pay over the odds, you aren't going to get many better english forwards than Owen (providing he comes back fit from the injury)

Yeah I was thinking that after I wrote that line but back then we didn't expect him to get through a full season as he was still young and growing etc etc. He's all growed up now and I don't think we should take a chance on him as I think his best days are well behind him.
Also the way he left still leaves a little bit of a bad taste.
However I just think we should look for a different option.
He had his chance with Rafa.

no f'in way , i personally feel he shafted us and if he leaves newcastle now he has well and truly shafted them, I have no wish for that sort of player here.
