In tomorrows Daily Mail it's running a story abut Owen being at "logger heads with Newcastle over his international career". There's a surprise!!

It's basically saying how Newcastle don't want him to go away on international duty during pre-season if he's not kicked a ball for them all season. Owen says he's going anyway because "England come first."

hell i'd rather have Jonathan Stead than Owen. i simply don't want him near this club not at any fee. i wouldn't even take him on a free. don't care how good he is. he wanted away so he should stay away.

Now, given that the next year, Stevie nearly left because "he didn't feel wanted", few people seem to have considered that at the time Rafa may not have wanted Owen.

Its not fact but its a possibility. I just think its sickening that Liverpool fans stick the boot in, to a lad who played here since he was a kid, was a model pro in his approach to the game, oh and scored loads of goals in the process.

No one bar two of three people really know what went on during that saga, so most people are basing it on supposition - and then twisting it to tabloid style sensationalism.

Owen stalled on signing a new contract for ages and decided to leave Liverpool to experience something new. He made his bed and now he can lye in it. He has been far too injury prone of late and his last season with us was not a memorable one.

I was told about 3 weeks ago that he is Old Trafford bound this summer and the newspaper reports today seem to confirm that there is some element of truth to those rumours.

So we're gonna sit and watch him score a bagful for those ****s.

He could probably got more from Chelsea but that only made his case better.
