Sometimes Liverpool midfielder Harry Kewell is set for a huge windfall - even if he is dumped by manager Rafa Benitez this summer.

The People says despite his injury problems, Kewell is still collecting his £2million a year ... and taking advantage of the six business class flights to Australia that Liverpool kindly fund.

Not only that - if another club is of a mind to bid more than £6million for the injury-prone Aussie, he gets 50 per cent of everything over that mark.

Kewell is also the only player on Liverpool's books to have his own image rights deal.
Nothing out of the extraordinary there, unless I'm missing something?

Insurance would have kicked in and covered most of it anyway.

Don't mind him on the bench as an option but he shouldn't start.

I would have a 85% fit Harry on the bench well before a 100% fit Zenden.

Id love to see Kewell back and playing well. IT astonishes me to see people thinking he deliberately fabricates injuries just to get out of playing.
However, id like to see him getting another competitive game before playing the chavs, would hate to see him pulling up again.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

A shame we've sold Salif Diao - we would probably play him too against the Chavs

I really cant believe the stick Harry is getting. He hardly got septic arthritis of the foot on purpose did he?!?!?

Im obviously disappointed in how injury prone he has been but hopefully this time we've taken the time to get him right. From all accounts he's been fully fit for a few weeks now and just needs that match sharpness. Be interesting to see if Rafa plays him in any of the games before the Chav match.

Just remember what he's done to Chelsea in the past. Plus as few people have mentioned with Aurelio injured the only other alternatives are Zenden, Gonzalez and Riise, with JAR more than likely to start at left back. Harry will hopefully be on the bench at least and i wouldnt be surprised if he started at least one of the matches.

                    In Rafa we trust!

I think its all bollocks and Arbeloa will start at LB with JAR in front. Kewell will probably never play for LFC again as he may well be moved on in the summer clearout.

I disagree. Arbeloa played at lb against Barca to nullify Messi but i cant see chelsea playing with an out and out right winger. Joe Cole maybe but he'll more than likely play in the hole behind Drogba and Shevchenko. We've got to offer a threat going forward and i see (in the absence of Aurelio) Kewell being the man to do it. Gonzalez just isnt on form and Kewell involves himself in the game more and offers more flexibility in terms of positioning.

                        My team:

                        Reina

                        Finnan
                        Carra
                        Agger
                        Riise

                        Gerrard
                        Alonso
                        Mascherano
                        Kewell

                        Bellamy
                        Crouch

However, we all know Rafa likes to spring a surprise and i wouldnt be shocked to see Pennant instead of Bellamy and Rafa otping for a 4-5-1 formation with Gerrard breaking from an attacking central mid position which at the same time could become a 4-3-3 with Gerrard sitting deeper with XA and JM.

Actually fcuk knows!! But i'll be mulling it over in my mind until we actually find out!!

I cant see him leaving Kuyt out, also Arbeloa has been quite handy getting forward whether at right or left back, Ill bet my left nut he will play. Momo will prob play at the bridge for his energy and the fact he always ****s Chelsea up.

                          Reina

                          Finnan
                          Carra
                          Agger
                          Arbeloa

                          Pennat
                          Alonso
                          Momo
                          Riise
                          Gerrard

                          Kuyt.

of course this could all be bollocks cos we never really know what Rafa will do.

I think a tad of a sensationalist twist to the story. I would be happy to see him back and if fit he would be a useful asset on the bench, but in such an important game he would have to be almost bulletproof and Benitez knows this too after the CL final.

He didnt choose to have these injuries, so lets hope he does the biz if he comes on and does the job.

It could be true or it could be a non-story or it could be the club putting about a bit of nonsense to muddy the waters. It's not worth anyone doing themselves a mischief about it.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Sits him on the bench to come on for the last 30mins, no-one has seen him play this season (not even us!!), so he will be the unknown, and imagine the havoc he could wreak upon a tired chav defence, and then I wake up.
Not even Rafa's seen him play
