It's a non story just reporters putting 2 and 2 together, might possibly make the bench for Wigan at the weekend but I doubt it, think we may see him in the second leg for 30 mins or something

our left midfield will be jar (arbeloa will play full back imo), zenden or speedy on the bench. i'd have kewell on the bench ahead of a 200% fit zenden or speedy.

could do with a sub apperance for kewell on wednesday and a starting position on saturday.

what's key here isn't whether kewell deserves a place but rather whether he is potentially better than zenden or speedy even though he will be rusty.

It's highly unlikely that he'll be able to even remotely get himself match fit in time for either of those games.

We need players who'll be functioning at 100% for both games. No passengers. A far from fully fit Kewell would be one.

Use him in the league matches.

Im obviously disappointed in how injury prone he has been but hopefully this time we've taken the time to get him right. From all accounts he's been fully fit for a few weeks now and just needs that match sharpness. Be interesting to see if Rafa plays him in any of the games before the Chav match.

Just remember what he's done to Chelsea in the past. Plus as few people have mentioned with Aurelio injured the only other alternatives are Zenden, Gonzalez and Riise, with JAR more than likely to start at left back. Harry will hopefully be on the bench at least and i wouldnt be surprised if he started at least one of the matches.

          In Rafa we trust!
          Well said mate
Is it his fault, he's had rotten luck with injuries? NO
I know we're all so so frustrated with them amount of injuries he's had but i'm sure no-one more so than Harry himself.

Which wouldn't be a moment too soon.

I know it sounds crazy but Kewell is one of our best players if he's fit (yes i know its a big if and he won't be 100% fit, not even by the final if we make it) . For anyone to think that Kewell will start the game though is crazy but I'm sure he can put in a dangerous 15 minutes if needed.

Doesn't matter what anyone thinks and you have know idea about football if you don't believe it but we've missed Harry this year. As much as I love him I have to say I'm dissapointed with his time at Liverpool but it's not his fault he had septic arthritis and it's not he's fault that he's thrown into matches unfit.

He won't be starting at Chelsea but I think he can be someone who can add a bit of spark off the bench because at the moment there is no one at Liverpool who can do that!

              Remember, In Rafa we trust!

Well I'm not an Aussie and I'll stick up for him...as has been said time and again it's not his fault he's been injured, rushed back/played at less than 100% and got injured again. The guy can be a matchwinner for us, and if Rafa backs him to do it against the Chavs then so will I. Can't imagine him starting but as someone else said, even at 90% fit he's still 90% better option than Zenden and 30% better than Speedy. But I hope if he isn't 100% he isn't risked, because he's too tentative and limited if he isn't confident in himself

Imagine it's nil - nil in the 92nd minute v the Chavs, Finnan crosses a ball into the box and Harry scores a volley like the one he did v Spurs to send us to the final.............better still he does it v the Scum to win number 6!!

Can u honestly say Zenden or Gonzo r capable of that??

It's not his fault all the injuries and getting risked when not fully fit.

But it is his fault that he is capable of magic and winning games.

If Rafa plays him I hope he does well coz he has had a very rough time at LFC and copped alot.

                  His talent deserves better....

Ive given up arguing the Kewell case.

Someone mentioned he would be a liability!....how so? He is our best left sided player. Fact.

I hope he is back to his best and you all have to eat your words.

Yeah me too, Harry's one of the few potential matchwinners we've got

I am sick of people bagging him about being injured, being paid too much, being cut down time and time again ! He is a liverpool player and one that we really need fit and on the park - he does create chances, provide more options and also is better than anything else we have on the left wing.

For ****s sake guys get a grip !

He has shown what he was cpable of in bursts due to his injury and the fact that he spent 45 mins before each game getting taped up so he could play ... and he still showed that he has the class. Form will come back and he will be a valuable player for LFC going forward, most of us know it, Rafa knows it, work it out !

                            C'mon you REDMEN ! YNWA !

hopefully he'll play a part in the next few games so Rafa can assess him in a match situation.

if his first game is against the chavs, hopefully Rafa will play him in the last 15 minutes, instead of the first 15.

In the semi-final at old toilet last season, Kewell destroyed chelsea.

no way will he walk into a game against chelsea without having played some matches beforehand. that is completly mad!
