Alonso didn't play any games before he played against Juve.

I think Kewell is fit and the only thing he need is games. Rafa has showed that our players can be match fit without playing any competetive games.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

AFII, there is a massive difference between the two. Kewell's been injured all season, whilst Alonso missed two-three months, if that.

        He missed four months.

It's not that much difference. Once you are fit then it won't be much difference how long time it will take you to get match fit.

Four months or 10 months out isn't that much difference when you are fit again.

but alonso doesn't have a track record of getting injured in big games. and alonso is a much more influential player than kewell is.

Why do you continually use that ONE example? Does the fact that Xabi was out for 4 months confirm that Harry can play against Chelsea? No.

Yet you continue to insist that it does

Harry's injury history is long and complex, and his situation is different to Xabi's. What other examples do you have that can convince us, eh?

In an ideal world, Harry will get some playing time on Wednesday, and then against Wigan, leaving him available to make an impact as a sub against Chelsea.

to be fair i think if you asked any footballer i think they would say they need a few competitive game to get the razor sharpness back after being out.

All I'm saying is that we don't know how fit Kewell is.

If he is fit then the only thing he probably need is games. We don't know how many games he need.

                One other example is Sissoko.

As we will probably be closing the chavs dow at the bridge I wouldn't think Harry would be fit enough to start that game. But their biggest problem is at right back so a top notch LW attacking them would be great.

Diarra was crucified v Valencia, and Ferreira will be gone in the summer. Essisen has saved them a few times this season by switching to RB, but hes not available in the first leg. He should start the game v Wigan and be rested for the Boro game to get fresh again. If he came through the Wigan game I'd start him.

Whoever plays at LW v the chavs will be are most crucial player. Rafa needs to get this one right. I trust he will.

The most ridiculous thing is that if Rafa decides to play Kewell, people are going to blame Kewell....

I dont understand how people think a footballer with the ability of Harry could possibly want to ruin his own playing career by feigning injury, there have been many parties involved in deciding when he is fit to play, physios, coaching staff himself etc, but he only ever gets all the blame.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Having read Owens book I lay alot of the blame at GH door. He sacked a physio who said Owen wasn't fit to play, and Voila he broke down. Understand why he did it, but it ruined the pair of them.

He is the best left winger we have at the club so if he can play the last 15 mins it may be worth the risk.
