Agree with all thatOriginally posted by anfieldanfield View PostI for one am hoping this summer will see Rafa at his most ruthless. No more ****ing about with 'potential', 'possibilities' or 'hard workers'. This is make or break for Rafa and the squad.
Zenden, Dudek, Fowler, Bellamy, Le Tallec, Guthrie etc etc should be sold.
I'd also consider offers for Gonzalez, Paletta, Kewell and one or two others...
Let's bring in TWO or THREE players of genuine quality and class. We need pace, movement, players with a few tricks in their locker, a bit of skill, touch, talent, ability...
If Rafa spends all summer bringing in 7 or 8 players like Voronin, Pederson, Bent etc I'll cry.
The main difference between us and Cheski/Manure is the quality of our attacking players. I'd rather see us buy a couple of really gifted players than a bunch of decent/promising players this summer.

His movement isn't intelligent enough.
Chelsea defended so deep at times they defended on the six yard box. How can anyone peel off or make runs against that? Bellers is a little fella so he wasnt going to win any headers, and since there was nowhere for him to run into he wasnt going to see hardly any of the ball.
Rafa expected Chelsea to be the ones attacking so Bellamy couldve been played on the counter, making runs, pulling off players into space but Chelsea didnt do that. They sat back. Only Crouch wouldve or did have any effect on that kind of defence because he can win headers and is an awkward ****er. Bellamy last night was a victim of Rafa's tactics, not a victim of himself being ****.Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

AFII is a good lad. Some of his posts are 'speculative' to say the least - but he's always around to contribute and add his two penneth - which is what this place is all about.Liverpool born and bred.

True, but having realised that he wasn't going to get the ball, what was to stop him sacrificing himself to get Drogba carried off? Modern players are just too selfish.Liverpool FC über alles.

nice one! I'l reserve judgement until he pisses me off personally. Just for the record, I think Bellamy is **** and we should bite O'Neills hand off for anything over the £6m we paid for him.Originally posted by Howard_lfc View Postalright mate.

Bellamy is not ****. I am surprised Rafa brought him because he does not suit the system and style of football Rafa is developing, except possibly using him for counter attacking away games.
I feel sorry for Bellers - he does try but it just is not working out for him. He needs a decent run in the team to see if he can adapt, or possibly we need to change the way we play to maximise his strengths, i.e. his pace.
Difficult one, because despite his faults as a person, I like Craig Bellamy the footballer.
This Summer will surely be the defining one for Rafa. He will be given the Harrods store card and I am sure he is going to use it very wisely on 2 or 3 top players, i.e. Torres, Alves and Henry!!"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I realise all that but he can still get down the sides, get into the channels. He's not intelligent enough, football-wise, to do this and exploit what few gaps there were.Originally posted by The Glove View Post

I think it's a comination of both. As you say, Chelsea surprised us by defending and hitting us on the break, but even when Chelsea attacked Bellamy couldn't find any spaces - and there were plenty. He just doesn't have the nous.

I'm getting a bit sick of people jumping all over AFII's posts. It's like a ****ing playground at times. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
