He doesn't say it will replicate that style though. This really intrigues me if true because it must surely mean a scrapping of the original proposal, and a totally new design. If this is right then we'll have to get planning permission again...

I thought they wanted to change the design "within the current planning permission" Surely this design cant be within those constraints?

Could well be smart for the club to do it this way.

I'm sure i red a quote off GG or TH that they would be prepaired to cover the cost of the Transport issue themselves! IF that is the case, then i can't see there being a problem of increased capacity

Surely the capacity is irrelevant....people will just bunk in wont they?

Are there any pictures of the proposed plans on the web?

This whole increase the capacity now is rubbish, they would have to put planning permission in which would take years, might as well put planning in for the 80,000 now if this is how thy feel and pay for the rail link.

I think there is a train line there already - albeit only used for freight.
It's by the cemetary I believe.

THe train line is already there it just needs a station, and some points further down to turn the trains around.

Its the Dock Branch line (rarely used nowdays) that runs from Edge Hill to the Docks at Bootle

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Yeah but its a freight line and it doesnt join up eith the Northern Line. The nearest it comes is Kirkdale but it runs under Kirkdale station and on down to the docks. Its the one that runs past the Taxi Club.
