I agree mate - I'd keep Paletta and Gonzalez for another year and send 'em out on-loan, but it seems Benitez reckons he hasn't got the time to **** about. Ship 'em out and bring players in for the NOW rather than try and nurture any potential. I admire his ruthlessness. It's a refreshing change after Houllier's stubborn refusal to admit defeat with any of his gash signings.Originally posted by SCOUSERTOMMY View Postthat would be a shame that shaggy, i would rather he went out on loan. in the few games ive seen him for the ressies he is a different class

admittedly I have never seen him in the reserves.Originally posted by SCOUSERTOMMY View Postthat would be a shame that shaggy, i would rather he went out on loan. in the few games ive seen him for the ressies he is a different class
But the 8 or so appearances he made in the first team, he has never really impressed me defensively, he does however look good attacking set pieces.
I am not sure he is naturally suited to the English game, It may be just a step too far for him with the experience he has, especially at this level.
I wouldnt loose any sleep if he left, but I would be more excited about Hobbs possibly making a break through than Paletta tbh.
I doubt Paletta would take too kindly to being loaned out, and I would say if he leaves, part of the reason could possibly be to do with his refusal to do so.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Great news with Sami, well deserved bumber pay deal before hopefully a coaching role at the club. Pelligrinho may have been a little lost on the pitch but he had a big impact on the training ground. 2 years plus the 8, he may drag a testimonal out of the club yet! Who was the last player to have a testimonal for LFC?*************************

We need to send Gonzo and Paletta on loan but ONLY to Premiership clubs I am sure someone like Derby or Birmingham would be interested. We already know Gonzo can play in a league like Spain so no point sending him there, it might give him a kick up the backside he needs. With Paletta he just needs playing time and he won't get it next season as he will be 4/5th choice.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI agree mate - I'd keep Paletta and Gonzalez for another year and send 'em out on-loan, but it seems Benitez reckons he hasn't got the time to **** about. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty.
