jesus if i had the money i'd buy him and stuff him in a duffel bag just to end theses ****ing speculations, getting fed up with the midget always being linked to us, and the press and everyone going crazy about him...

the only thing the little 'i love england more than liverpool' midget will bring to the table is a problem for our physios to fix...
"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

      I don't know what Rafa's problem is...

OK, Owen wont come cheap, but if the owners say that this signing wont affect Rafa's transfer kitty, what's the problem?

It would be great to see Owen back at Anfield in a Liverpool shirt. He would be a great signing and would probably have the same role as Robbie Fowler did, i.e. play every 5th match for 10 minutes. Owen probably doesn't want that...

PS: What the **** am I talking about? I'm lost...

I guess it's not about money, but about owners meddling in the buying and selling of players.

HEAR HEAR - the useless back stabbing liitle midget can stay as far away from Anfield as far as I' concerned. No one does what he did to the peoples club of Liverpool only to be bought back again to spend three quarters of the season injured!

PS: AF Owen has become another Johnny Wilkinson.. ie: always ****in' injured

            Rant over

Rafa wanted him back after he signed for Newcastle, that is a fact, so I don't really believe that what he did or didn't do when he signed for them or when he signed for Real has anything at all to do with that we won't sign him.

It's all about his fitness and that Rafa now can buy better players than him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

And last year we did not have the financial backing, which allows us to buy 'better' players.

It's all about money and who you can afford.

Owen was a good option for £12m before his injuries. Rafa can now afford better players like Tevez instead.

I was aware Rafa and Liverpool wanted him back BEFORE he signed for Newcastle - when did you read or hear about Rafa still wanting him AFTER he'd shunned us and signed for Newcastle?

Well, Rafa definitely said in an interview (AFTER Owen went to the barcodes) that Owen could still return in the future as he is a good player.

It is an interesting one this. Owen is a class player but is a risk, even at 9m. I believe he can offer alot but Rafa has to work through his priorities and Owen would not be top of that list, quite rightly. If he signed him that would mean no more strikers IMO. That is a risk, a big risk, particularly when every fan is salivating over a new striker.

Would you be happy if the only striker we sign is Owen?

I say that because i believe we will sign one only.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

That was before his foot and knee injury

Sell Bellamy for £9m and buy Owen.

Yes, his last injury is a worry but a medical should indicate if he's recovered. Similar injury to Van Nistleroy hardly hampered his goal scoring efforts. One thing Owen will always do is score goals, and he won't need time to settle into the club or premiership. We won't miss Bellamy and we'll still have the money to buy Tevez/Eto/Villa or whoever everyone is dreaming about.
