Yeah, our 1987/88 team got stuffed 5-1 by Atletico Madrid in pre season.

And I haven't seen many teams (if any at all) in world football better than our 87/88 Liverpool side.

I dont think these pre-season games should be televised at all. We're so desperate for football and to give our own post match analysis that we read way too much into these games and lose sight of the fact that we really couldnt give a toss what happens pre-season. The lads are in training at the moment and as long as there's ni injuries and we're not getting hammered im satisfied. There's no shame in losing on pens in a friendly tourmament like that.
